About Our Programs

Music classes at Keen Music and the Arts offer a fun and loving learning environment where children are valued as creative musical individuals. We sing, dance, play instruments, listen, echo, participate in musical games and activities all while learning lessons that will last a life time. Music is a gift that must be nurtured and encouraged in a child's early years for them to reap the benefits throughout their lives.

Call us today at 719-593-1951 to come and try a class out for free. Day and afternoon class times available. Evenings for keyboard both for children and adults.

curriculum

Musikgarten is our curriculum of choice because it is the only curriculum out there that provides the quality comprehensive and sequential programing that your child needs for their musical development from birth to 9 years. Each level of the program stands on it's own and yet each works together to provide the foundational building blocks that will benefit your child as they grow. Favorite songs, stories and dances are revisited throughout the program building on what the child has mastered and enjoyed--making successful learning easier.

"What they hear, they learn to speak; what they speak, they learn to write; what they, write they learn to read." This is the process that we utilize in our program and it is highly successful. Our children and families learn to love and enjoy music and music making because it is taught in a manner that reaches and teaches the whole child without the stress of performance and/or competition. Children need to be children, they need to be able to enjoy life and have fun with the process of making music. We teach to encourage a life-long love of music, music making and learning.
